Pretty Buck Zeb

Pretty Buck Zeb was the sire of many of our foals up until 2004. He was a 100% foundation grulla stallion. He spent most of his life working on a ranch in Northwest Missouri. Zeb was humanely euthanized at the age of 25 in January 2004.

Zeb was well known for producing big stout using horses. His only 2 AQHA performing foals were both point earners. We own one of them, a 1995 grulla gelding who has an AQHA point in Western Pleasure, was the 1996 Kansas Buckskin Association Champion Yearling Stallion, stood 3rd at the ABRA World and 5th at the IBHA World as a yearling stallion at halter and then stood 4th in the Gateway to the World Snaffle bit futurity as a 2 year old where he placed 1st under 3 out of 6 judges.

Zeb's full brother Stopper Blue, held a NCHA Certificate of Ability and was a World Show Top Ten in Working Cowhorse. His daughter, Stopper Star held an NCHA Certificate of Ability and was the dam of Tuff Little Lena by Smart Little Lena. Tuff Little Lena has over $91,000 in NCHA earnings.

Zeb's owners always thought showing was a waste of time, but contended that he was the better of the two colts, which is why although they owned several of his full siblings, they retained Zeb as their herd sire.
