Purebred Dexter Cattle Association IRISH DEXTERS Dexters are an Irish breed that historically have been used for meat and milk production as well as as oxen. They are small sturdy cattle that come in black, dun and red, both horned and polled. Typically they are less than 44 inches tall and weigh about 800 lbs at maturity.
